You will find the audio description underneath.
The cartoon is an A4 size, with a title, followed by six half-width images. The colours used are the project brand colours – different blues and greys with accents of green and purple.
The title is followed by cartoon images of the faces of the team members with their names underneath: Ann, Léa, Delia, Hilary, Iryna and Eva.
In frame one, the textbox reads, ‘The team arrive to IE Law School in Madrid, Spain.’. Delia, Ann, Iryna, Léa and Eva are in the picture. Iryna says, “This edition of the ICON•S conference is the largest yet. It’s a great way to connect our findings to broader legal scholarship.”. Léa adds, “…and the venue is spectacular”.
In frame two, the textbox reads, ‘Delia presents on accessibility of cultural goods in a panel on disability rights.’. There are slides on the screen behind her. She says, “Digital accessibility can function as a gateway for inclusive equality.”
In the third frame, Iryna is presenting to the audience. The textbox introduces the scene, ‘Delia chairs a panel in which Eva and Iryna present their research in DANCING’. Iryna says, “EU disability law reaches third countries via conditionality and socialisation mechanisms.”
In the fourth frame, the textbox reads, ‘Ann and Léa share findings on cultural participation of persons with disabilities.’ Ann says, “…in our qualitative analysis, we identified five interlinked barriers to cultural participation of persons with disabilities.”
Frame 5 shows all five of the DANCING team who are present at the event posing for a photo. The textbox reads, ‘The team attend the Women’s Reception.’ Eva says, “We should capture this milestone with a photo.”
The last frame, frame 6, shows Delia with some different people presenting. The textbox reads, ‘On the last day, Delia participates in a book roundtable with her co-editors Giuseppe Martinico and Francesco Palermo.’ Giuseppe says, “This discussion was thought-provoking! Thank you to the DANCING project for supporting the editing of this book.”
