Cartoon: Our Third Year – Text Description
The cartoon is an A4 size, with a title, followed by four half-width images and finishing with a full-width image. The colours used are the project brand colours – different blues and greys with accents of yellow and purple.
The title ‘Our Third Year’ is followed by cartoon images of the faces of the team members with their names underneath: Tiarnán, Ann, Léa, Delia, Hilary, Iryna and Eva.
All the pictures show the researchers in a room at the university. The first picture has a description which reads, ‘The team are preparing for their mid-term conference.’ Delia says, “This year has been intense! I’m looking forward to showcasing our progress at the mid-term academic conference.” Léa says, “We’ve achieved so much this year! Our article on case law of the Court of Justice was published in the European Yearbook on Human Rights, 2022!”
In the second picture Delia says, “My article on how EU legislation ensures cultural accessibility for people with disabilities has just come out on the European Law Review…” Ann adds, “…and ‘Disability and Society‘ has just published our paper based on interviews with representatives of organisations for people with disabilities!”
In the third picture, Hilary is holding up a report and says, “Good news, everyone! Our 30-month scientific report has been approved!” Ann replies, “This is a great boost to continue and build on our progress!”
In the fourth picture Eva says, “But there’s still a lot to do! It’s great to have a new research assistant to help out.” Tiarnán says “Hi, everyone.”
In the last full width picture the whole team are together. Delia says, “When it comes to participating in culture, people with disabilities still face several barriers…” Tiarnán adds, “…and their insights will help shape project DANCING as we move forward into the final phases.” Iryna sums up by saying, “Indeed! Things are looking good for year 4.”
